Since zines originated from the punk culture I thought it would be the perfect idea to make a traditional punk themed zine. I want to take this idea and put my own spin on it. By this I mean I want to take many of the traditional elements from punk zines such as newspaper cutouts, handwritten sayings, and the overall punk look and add elements of my own creative style to it. I don't want this zine to have one main theme to it. I like chaos and that is exactly how I want my zine to look...chaotic. I think by adding many elements like hand-drawn and digital artwork will help me achieve the overall aesthetic I am hoping to achieve. I want to dedicate a certain page to specifically tattoos by making it into a tattoo flash sheet where you can choose what you want to get. If I do not end up going with the punk theme I think another interesting idea would be to create a booklet of tattoo designs like as if you were to go into a shop and flip through a book to choose a design. I would take this idea and adjust it to the reader so it is a sort of scavenger hunt zine. By this I mean I would ask certain questions to the reader and at the end there would be a tattoo design for them based off their answers. With either plan I decide to choose I want it to look like an original punk zine that you would find at a punk show of some sort.
