Project 1 - Artist Statement

For my Son of a Serendipitous Glitch assignment, I decided to make the overall theme of my photos based on children doing things they aren't supposed to. I enjoyed writing the many prompts I did in DALL-E and seeing what it could come up with. After I let DALL-E do the initial work, I used the photos it generated as the base layer for the many different glitches I executed. From there I took the photos into the various different programs we have used so far and tweaked them until they looked pleasing to me. With such random outcomes, it is difficult to stay within a specific topic which is why I tried to use photos that shared a general theme. I made mostly gifs as I found satisfaction in putting together multiple different frames within Photoshop. Overall, I had a really fun time exploring the many ways to glitch a photo. I didn't realize how many different ways were truly possible.
